Z0mbies? What about the Borg? BTW, I could be on my way to being assimilated already. I have this thing in my chest that is supposed to bring me back if my heart messes up. It also can report on me when things are set up right.
Whenever I see something in the news about "dangerously unqualified" people being hired for some position or other, I check to see where and what the pay scale is.
Also a good idea whenever you hear a spokesperson for some industry whining about not being able to find qualified workers (currently often trucking firms looking for drivers). Pay them, and they will come.
I'd like to add, also don't be a farking dick when you do find them. So many good jobs ruined by managers that don't understand the fundamentals of human interaction.
I tried to read Ulysses, and I couldn't... I got bored of feeling he was giving too many references I couldn't catch. I don't like her, I guess. (That woman, you know...) I seldom remember my dreams. I had one, last night. A good one. It felt like a foresight (of sorts, somehow), but I'm to sceptical to believe that it would happen.
Confession: When I spend so much time on the RPG Maker VX Ace, slowly reworking the character portraits and stats from scratch that I start humming along to the music that the game comes with. And now I'm devising ways of making a playlist. I can't stop listening to it. It's all mutating out of control. It was meant to be a short demo, but it's quickly growing to a longer plot.
When something I'm working on does this to me I call it 'my personal monster' I then start referring to the room my laptop is in as 'my laboratory'. Now I must confess that I'm curious about what your 'laboratory' looks like.
After spending all morning with screen shots, here's some carefully picked shots that I think best represent this mutation: So far, all seem to be unrelated scenarios. One is a straight up horror, and another is a quiet drama with no music.
I sniff my laundry to check that it's dry. Even though that only tells me whether the item got fragranced in the wash.
Nope - there is something different about air-drying laundry. I use unscented detergent and it still takes on a 'dried' smell.
I'm looking forward to my hair going grey. All the women in my family went completely grey, but dyed their hair for years, so I'm not actually sure when their hair started changing naturally. I'm not that old yet so it'll probably be a while, but dang. I'm ready to be a silver fox.
I allowed myself the luxury of being helped in English the other day. Tourist-ish area, and the guys had taken the trouble to learn English for work, so I let them use it. Soon to be purchased: a good slicing knife.
