I sold a story to Pseudopod (which does audio versions of stories) a while back, and every so often I'll find a mention of it online or get an email about it. Today, I found it mentioned among a listing of seven horror tales suggested on a site. The stories mentioned before mine were by Ramsey Cambell, William Hope Hodgson, and Robert Bloch, respectively. Needless to say, I was pleased to find myself in such company The story was also chosen for a "Best Of" by the publication.
Nice work, Steerpike. It must be great seeing your name out there. Amazingly, I might be seeing it too before long as well, as I may be published in the Lampeter Review (my university's internationally-known magazine) in a couple of weeks, and it looks very hopeful that one of my Children's books will be published by a very small publisher. Good news all round, my friend!
Thanks @Thomas Kitchen. You'll have to let us know when those publications appear. I'll check them out!
