    Crackers

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by _Ara_, Jan 20, 2014.

Everyone else was writing the same thing for their subject. I'm Ara. I'm going to start studying social, work and psychology and maybe business (yes weird mixture) but, my insomnia keeps me up telling me I should write to let off some of the mental stress. An author (j.r. ward) was mentioning about forums so that's how I ended up here. Already started exploring with success. So hi to all. That's all I got.

    Hey, Ara. :)

We've already met in a different thread, but still I feel the need to give an official welcome. Have a look through the Forum Rules to make sure everything starts on a good footing. ;)

It's an interesting thread title, given that it means so many different things depending on where you come from.

    Welcome to the site, Ara.

True but I meant it innocently in terms of crackers with a side of brie or cream cheese :)

Oh, other meanings are (mostly) innocent too. I also thought of party noisemakers (UK) or being eccentric/wacky (non-regional?). There's aso a meaning in the petroleum industry. And, of course, the not-so-innocent racial epithet, which I was certain you were not referencing.

I love words with diverse meaning, not least because I am an incorrigible punster. :)

A fractional distillation tower is, or was, also called a cracker. Random point :D
