If you thought there were a lot of Brits here, why didn't you include the U.K.? They clearly don't consider themselves part of Europe. Also, I see the rest of North America, all of South America, and the entirety of Africa are left out. I'm surprised there aren't more "other" selections.
Interesting, I could make a survey, or edit the one I have here. I guess I'm what you would consider a "stupid American" - I always assume an English speaking board is mostly American. I have a sneaking suspicion I am in the minority here. My not so subtle way of finding out if I was correct.....
I doubt you're stupid. As a matter of fact, I'm certain, given that you've understood your error and thought of ways to correct it, that you're not. Ethnocentrism affects a lot of us in one manner or another.
Canada is some kind of strange mixture of France and Fenno-Scandia. Finns, Swedes, Norwegians and some Danes went there because they loved the weather and nature. French went there because someone told them that Canada is good place to farm grapes.
