    Have you ever noticed...

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Corbyn, Feb 21, 2011.

That all the cool cartoons like invader Zim get yanked?

That no matter what you do you always wind up with socks that have no pairs?

That people who annoy you always want to either be around you or want you to do things for them?

That when you have a roomate your favorite snack is always gone?

That when you want to get something done you never have the time to go for it?

    ........

I wear wool socks that cost $10-$20 per pair (well, if I didn't get amazing deals for working in a gear shop they would). Since they are expensive and I only have 8 pairs total, I wash them in a mesh bag. I always get the same number of socks back from the wash. So I guess #2 is sorta debunked...

That your thoughts do not coexist with other people's thoughts even though you both have live conscience? I always thought that was a weird concept. Good thing my religion can answer just about any question like this that you have... Philosophy, Science, and Gospel stuff alike.

My socks are fine but the roomate complains that the washer eats them... I find if your socks make it into the wash to begin with that helps the situation :p

Have you ever noticed... How you can give people information seven ways to sunday but if they don't want to believe or understand it does no good?

example: "Ma'am your dog has a few bumps and bruises but is extremely lucky that you weren't going fast when you ran him over ..."

Crazy lady: "Are you sure he's going to live? I mean he's not bleeding to death is he?"

"Ma'am your dog has no external bleeding and his Xrays came back clear.."

Crazy lady: "So he's going to live right?"

    *mental face palm*

If you have teenage kids, the mesh bag is pointless. They'll just steal them right out of the bag. Or take the whole damned thing.

my daughter (5 yrs) uses them for making mud cakes in the garden, or her 'experiments' with mud and whatever she can find in the garden. *sigh* I found lots buried when I moved house last.

For me, I can always think of tons of things I want/need to do when I have no time, but then when I have free time, I can't remember any of the things I wanted to do. :(

That is such a good idea.

    Stealing it.

It was great--very relaxing, and exactly what I needed after dealing with work kicking my ass for so long. :) A lot of firsts for me...first cruise, first time being to Mexico (not to mention out of the USA), went parasailing for the first time...I loved it.

Didn't mean to hijack the thread, though, sorry! I'll post some pictures in the picture thread.

Have you ever noticed how it's never any of the children (or dogs, or cats) in your house who've created that mess in the middle of the living room, eaten the last slice of pizza or filled the toilet full of soap?

Haha I don't have any kids or pets, but this happens with my husband all the time. This morning, for instance, I walked into the living room, freezing my butt off, and saw that it was only 65 degrees in the apartment. I look at the thermostat thingy, and our heater is off. "Joel, why did you turn the heater off??" "I didn't." Well, it wasn't me...so unless we have ghosts... Silly husband.
