Here we go with a new story. Since this is my first time GM'ing a story, I'm nervous and excited. I know all of you are excellent writers with great imaginations. I hope this remains interesting and fun for all of us. This is the place too put all your OOC posts. Once you have pm'd me with your character and I have approved it...go ahead and put it here. Character Sheet: Name: Matthew (Matt) Garter Gender:Male Age: 41 Appearance: Matt Garter has a muscular build and is 7' 1". His black hair and beard is beginning to gray. A one inch scar, from his time in the military, runs down the right side of his cheek. Personality: Colonel Garter is an upstanding military officer. He believes in protecting the weak and protecting his homeland. He won't take bad mouthing from anyone to anyone. He believes in order and discipline and is not afraid to discipline someone who gets out of line or puts the rest of the caravan in danger. Though he has a rough, and intimidating apperance; he wants nothing more than to see as many people as possible get to Asili alive. Profession: Colonel Garter is a military man. He was only a few months away from the rank of Brigadier General. Supplies: Matt Garter carries his military backpack with several army issued firearms and supplies. On his belt is a solar powered energy gun that can release up to 21 shots before needing another solar charged clip.
Here's my sheet.~ Name: Elspeth McArdinthal Gender: Female Age: 47 Appearance: Elspeth is a weathered-looking woman, who has seen many years of hardship. Due to the sudden change of the world around her, her normally raven black hair now has a wild streak of silvery grey. Her eyes are a deep and icy blue and show pain and torment throughout the years. She wears a long leather trench-coat underneath a plain grey shirt. She wears dirty and torn jeans along with black combat boots and a pair of wool gloves, stained with a few splatters of blood. She cut out the finger areas of her gloves to give her a tougher outlook. She wears glasses perched high up on her slightly hooked nose. Personality: Elspeth is a fiery character with a passion for machinery. She loves anything to do with tinkering, making or playing with baubles and metals. She destines to make her own robot some day. Behind her tough but sometimes cheerful expression lies a tormented spirit who lost her family in the bombings. Profession: Mechanic Supplies: A wrench, gifted to her by her partner William. It's engraved with the words 'To my love, till' the end of the earth - William.' A small oily handkerchief bundled with string. It holds a locket of her two children, Norma and Ingrid. Cleaning supplies holstered by a belt.
Thanks for your questions. For the first one: There were a couple nuclear bombs on each continent, at the very end of the war, in a desperate last attempt to be the ruling nation. The majority of the damage done, however, were constant airstrikes and sabotage bombs. There were several places on earth completly untouched by radiation and bombs but the only one that most people know about (at least in the vicinity our characters are in) right now is Asili. I hope this answers your first question, Cheddar. As to your 2nd question "Where is the Caravan starting?" In my first post (soon too come) I will be putting Colonel Garter with a premade caravan in Illinois (about 4 states away from New York). The second spot you can begin your character is in Michigan. You can begin your characters close too or in either of the caravans. If anyone sees flaws/ contradictions in my introduction and have any advice on how to correct it...I will gladly accept it. This is my first GM and I am open to suggestions and corrections.
Character Sheet: Name: Samantha Hazel Gender: Female Age: 19 Appearance: Samantha has light blond hair and is about 5 ft 6 inches. Her body is built like an athlete. At first glance most people would think that she was a gymnaist but her father owned a Karate studio. She has been training since she was 6. Despite her family's death in the bombings, she continues to honor their memory by continuing to practice and not give in to despair. Personality: Samantha rarely smiles anymore but neither does she frown. She's buried her feelings deep inside because she thinks that being sad will somehow tarnish their memories. Profession: Samantha assisted her father and mother in training teens in the art of Karate. Supplies: Samantha has nothing but a once blue sweater tied around her waste and a water bottle tucked inside. On her neck she wears a gold necklace with a tree on it. The symbol of her family's dojo.
Jaxo Torris is an NPC. If you join the caravan that has him as a leader he is pretty much a play-as-you-need-him character. If you plan to use him...please run your post by me first so that his actions and personality remain the same. Jaxo is a 43 year old crime lord. He quick to get angry and thrives on the feeling of having power over the caravan. But just like the everyone else he wants to get to Asili. He has a switch blade and solar-powered gun. He doesn't mind killing someone who stands in his way but he won't kill just for fun.
Hopefully you enjoyed Elspeth's lovable encounter with the young boy. As you can see, she isn't your ordinary middle-aged woman.
I've also sent my template, awaiting approval. @Blizzard: Out of curiosity, which caravan group is Elspeth with? I'm not sure where she is at this point.
I'm sorry Blizzard but you are going to have to re-write your post. The starting point is 5 months after the bombings. There aren't going to be any stores around or cash registers. It was an interesting intro though. Or you could keep it but then have her come out of the dream or memory and go from there.
Character Name: Bee Gender: Female Age: Appears as a 16 year old but her mental age is about 8. Appearance: Medium length brown hair with tanned skin and completely yellow eyes. Stands at about 5'6 with a thin but toned body. Personality: Due to the horror of the bombs and violence around her B created a new personality and forgot her old one. B is child like and naive. When threatened she switches to a personality she refers to as 'Teddy'. Profession: Bee doesn't have one. Supplies: Knife blade (no handle) and a strange harness she found. Mutation: The radiation from the bomb mutated Bee (also responsible for the memory loss) giving her animal like features. Her skin was hardened and her nails developed into claws while a prehensile tail grew. Her most distinguishing feature is her cat like ears. Her ears are the most developed whith the rest of her mutation still ongoing. Name: Teddy Gender: Male Age: NA Personality: Psychotic and feral. Unable to talk but able to make animal like noises. Appearance: Same as Bee's but drops to all fours. Her claws also elongate. Teddy is faster and stronger aswell. I intend to start Bee by lake michigin so I'm probably going to make some stuff about the location up.
Name: Naomi Resser Gender: F Age: 18 Appearance: Naomi is slender, but muscular, having survived on her own since the bombings. She weighs only 120 pounds, so she looks more like she is a tall 14, but she is only this way because she rations her food. Still, she has an attractive body to her. She has long brown hair, brown eyes, and smooth, tanned skin.Her parents and older brother were killed in a bombing, which took place while they were out looking for food. Naomi was left behind in the underground shelter, and she quickly learned to get supplies on her own. Shortly after she turned 12, she met a man named Rick, who gave her all the training she needed to survive, in exchange for giving him half of what she brought in, since he had recently lost his leg to a bombing. Personality/History: Naomi is a kind of helpful person, but she expects to be helped in return. She got this lesson from Rick, a man she met when only a month after the bombings, who had lost his leg after his town was hit. He taught her all kinds of skills he knew, like hunting, fishing, how to make a bow, etc. He also gave her a special device he had been working on which emits frequencies that can partially control a wild animal. Naomi was very careful to use this device, with it being so dangerous against the wrong animal. It cannot, however, be used against mutant animals. Using this device, the Animalia, Naomi was able to control a panther, Whisper, and a falcon, Timber. Otherwise, Naomi is kind, but stern sometimes. She can have a slight temper, and she is a survivalist, giving out her opinion on what should be done, because she feels she is prepared for things. There is also a quiet side to her, but people are unsure why. Profession: No profession, but a skilled hunter and survivalist. In the four months she has known Rick, he has taught her a lot about what plants to eat, animals that can be hunted easily, how to ration food, etc. Supplies: A bow, some arrows, a small 3 foot long katana, a backpack with: paper, pencils and markers, a knife, a whetstone (sharpens blades), a few things pieces of thick cloth, a homemade compass, matches in a waterproof container, some tested and untested rocks, bandages of all sorts, a large container of hydrogen peroxide, a small mirror, two flares, a small pot, and a blanket. She also carries a second backpack which she lined with a few layers of newspapers, and this is where she keeps any food she gets.
Name: Kodokuna Senshi. Commonly called Senshi, which is Japanese for Warrior Gender: Male Age: 32 Appearance: 5'11 and extremely well toned from years of combat and acrobatics training. he has slick black hair that he keeps in a ponytail. He usually wears traditional Japanese clothing, most commonly Hakama and Haori. Spoiler Personality: Senshi is somewhat of a isolationist, He is alone both because of culture and his own emotions. Adhering to a strict moral code he is the noble warrior. Profession: Japanese Special Forces known as Kage (pronounced kô-gā), or more formally Kōtei no kage. Translated 'The Emperor's Shadow'. They were special force warriors trained in multiple martial arts and follow a modern day Bushido Code. Supplies: The Daisho, The formal weapons of the Samurai, a Wakizashi and Katana. Both are highly advanced solar blades. The technology used to craft them was of the most advanced level The Asia's had developed. It is likely the most advanced Solar-Tech the survivors will ever see, but Senshi usually keeps them stowed safely on his donkey preferring a wooden walking stick instead for more mundane matters. He rarely rides his donkey, preferring to walk along beside it. The donkey carries an advanced metal case on one side and a few burlap bags on the other. No one knows what is in the metal case, the burlap sacks contains items of little value such as food and clothes.
And here's mine: Name: Dr. Evan Fox Gender: Male Age: 36 Appearance: Evan’s build is slim, but compact. He stands at a slightly-smaller-than-average height. He has dark blue eyes and short, brown-blonde hair. Personality: Dr. Fox is a very restless individual; many people who knew him in the past would call him somewhat hyperactive. He speaks very quickly, usually in incomplete sentences. Despite this, Evan is usually quite focused and determined, and knows how to get things done. Profession: Before the war started, Evan was a well-known medical professor, and had multiple degrees in biomedicine and biophysics, as well as a substantial knowledge in chemistry. Although most applicable supplies are gone, he is still a proficient doctor and environmental advisor. Supplies: Most of the medical supplies that Dr. Fox used to carry around have long since been depleted, but he still has a few pharmacy-grade medicines lying around. He carries a fully electronic (solar powered) surgeon’s tool set. Currently, his most valuable asset is his radiation protection/extraction equipment. Evan also has a small handgun which he hasn’t had to use yet.
Name: Doctor Sophie “Soph” Martins Gender: Female Age: 36 Appearance: Soph is surprisingly well kempt, with shiny brown hair, tied up with a sharp, silver hair pin. She also has light blue eyes and a slender, hourglass figure. She stands at 5ft 7in and wears a dark green pair of scrubs, with a dirt covered lab coat over the top. Concealed in her lab coat she carries a colt .45 handgun with pearl white metal and a blood red grip and a matching white silencer, which was given to her for her contribution to the war efforts by General Darian (Now deceased). Sophie only has two magazines for the gun, each carrying 7 bullets. Personality: While Sophie is very easy on the eyes (even in a post-apocalyptic world), she is a venomous creature. Devious, charming and cunning, she always makes sure she’s on the winning side and is happy to weave lies and rumours to set potential threats against each other. She is extremely clever, understanding that survival is the most key thing and as long as she is alive, she won’t care who she hurts. Due to her profession, she is of great value to any group and uses this to make herself ‘untouchable’. Profession: Doctor. She studied Bio-Medical Science at Harvard University and finished top of her class at the age of 27. She then specialised in anaesthetics and pharmaceuticals for three years before being assigned to the military, researching new and lethal drugs for use on enemies, as well as remedial drugs for casualties. This led to Sophie having a great understanding of how drugs and anaesthetics could be made, and their potential effects. Supplies: Soph carries a medium camo Bergen (Military backpack) which holds an assortment of medical supplies; including syringes, drugs, bandages, sterilised alcohol, surgical equipment (tongs, scalpel, scissors, etc.) and a small defibrillator (only usable once). The one curious item found in the bag is a prototype medical gun, which fire bullets (only 4 bullets available) that are able to cure infection over a small period of time, injects additional adrenaline into the body and helps to repair wounds more rapidly. Possible side effects include, dizziness, vomiting, headaches, fits of rage, and cardiac arrest. Looking forward to this game! I'll have to post tomorrow though unfortunately, I am away this evening.
Ok so Im not sure why my introductory post came out the way it did, I really love this character though... But please tell me to change my post if im embarrassing myself... I can't wait for this RP to take of it has a lot of promise and some great characters and RPers
