Discussion of works in the public domain

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by art, Jan 3, 2011.

Are there any objections to the posting of small chunks from works that are in the public domain, for the purposes of igniting discussion?

eg Here are a few paras from Austen - I think them noteworthy because of X. What are your thoughts? What's good about them? What's bad? etc I imagine you get the idea.:)

it's not against site rules to quote public domain works, but just be sure you do it in the proper section... which would probably be 'the lounge' since you're not asking for info or help with your own work...

Or book discussion. And if you're going to quote, make sure you cite.
