    scrivener formatting

Discussion in 'Writing Software and Hardware' started by paul fisher, Dec 8, 2017.

I just started playing around with scrivener, don't see where you can re-format text etc. i imported a chapter that is based in openoffice and it kinda looks ok. i compiled it to PDF and the output was icky, formatting was bad and it inserted it own chapter headings.

Which version? Scrivener 2 or 3, Win or Mac? Specific help is easier if we know.

You can adjust the formatting and which chapter headings it uses in the compile dialog.

In Scrivener 2, this is a bit confusing.

For Scrivener 3, they cleaned it up a lot, and included a style scheme that can be used to adjust the formatting.

Scrivener 3 is out for Mac, and in beta for Win.

Lastly, there's a very nice forum over at Literature & Latte that helps you with that.
