    So would...

    Perdu en mer
    Puisse-t'il reposer en paix.
    ...be the correct format on a headstone, then?

    On a headstone, yes.

    If the tattoo didn't represent a headstone, the person would probably have used thre more casual Qu'il repose en paix.

    Yeah when I asked, I asked specifically for it to resemble a headstone inscription :)

    Thanks Imaginarily…, but please leave us with some air ! Lol !


    I love listening to well spoken French, unfortunately and without generalizing, the Belgians use too many ‘Belgicismes.’ (expressions and badly pronounced words..., as do the Québècois)

    As such, the French absolutely love ‘taking the Micky’ out of the Belgians and especially the Flemish to the north speaking French in Bruxelles.

    On the other hand, the Belgians laugh at them, because they can’t say ninety in French ! Lol !


    If I were you, I’d go for Dagolas’s propositions !
