A lone spot light searches for it's next victim on the silent night streets in a random, middle of no where town of southern Alberta. Suddenly it stops to shine it light on average teenage girl with short dark hair and odd, fascinating eyes that seem to change brown to green with the shining light. She seems shy at first and many asume she is. But then, when the audiance is about to leave, a wide ear to ear grin apears on her fair complection. Out of the blue she begins a complicated array of flips and spins until she lands on top of an old tall building on mainstreet. The yellow tinged spot light just barely follows her there. Everyone in the large audience stares in awe and shock as the girl leans backwards to fall. Many in the crowd cry out just before she is caught by her arms by a handsome male trapeze artist. As they swing together backwards the girl lets go to land on an altra bouncy rubber tarpaulin that sent her fly into the air. With another round of impossible flips she lands on the large water tower on the edge of town. Well she poses her booming voice yells out, "Hello Writingforums dot com! I'm Natasha and don't forget it!" Sorry for the show off intro. I was just so tempted to do it. Besides its a writing forum anyways. I also Love Dramatic entrances when it comes to stuff like this. Okay anyways, I'm Natasha, a typical Canadian small town girl who plays soccer and is in a cattle 4h club and yattady yatta, bluh bla blu... I've loved writing ever since I was seven. I read way to much and most people think I'm just a chumby quiet dork (that until they know me) I tend to go on and on when I write stuff (In school we had a writing PAT [Provincial Achievement Test, a test the province gives student in grade 3, 6, and 9 to see how your doing and how good the teachers are] and I wrote a short story 1200 word long in less then an hour). I'm also Very stupid and lazy sometimes, most of the time. Pluz I totily suc at spelen. <- well not that bad. I love animals (But I still eat some of them like cattle) I'm a some-what farm girl and I went to the smallest school in my town and in grade seven I was the only girl in a class of 9 I will never let that one down. So okay that all so far, I'm going to work on my profile.

Posting your own writing for people to comment on should not be among the very first things you do here anyway. It is worth taking the time to see what other people have done to improve their writing, and see if some of it applies to your writing as well. That is part of why we require members to review other members' work before posting their own for review. On the other hand, there are no restrictions, other than content and copyright rules, on showcasing your work in your member blog. Also, be aware that posting a piece of writing on any public site, including this one, will greatly diminish your chances of selling it for publication. Removing the writing later does not alter that fact - once posted, it is irreversibly considered published. So do not post anything more than a small excerpt of any piece you are planning to submit for publication. If you haven't explored the site yet, you should probably do so soon. Newcomers often gravitate to the Lounge, the Word Games, or the Writing Workshop, but there is much more to be discovered if you poke in the corners.
