Hello! I'm currently writing my first piece of fiction since high school and have been aching for a chance to interact with a fellow group of writers and share my work. (Wow! I just realized I called myself a "writer". And totally unself-consciously too--that's a first for me.) Anyway, the work is a sci-fi novel--tentative title "Will and Victory"--and I'm fairly far along. 331 pages survived my last edit. Grinding out pages and learning the craft has been a challenge, of course. But the real challenge as of late has been the utter solitude of the process. I hope being here will lift some of the loneliness. Hope to share soon. Darin
