I'll let you know when I find the border between okay and not okay. I read a lot of this kind of work myself and I've read some pretty disturbing stuff. My other WIP lacks this fetish element and is a more traditional steamy romance story (though I'm not sure if it really fits into textbook Romance Genre since I'm not sure yet if there is a HEA or HFN). But anyway, especially when it comes to the more Science Fictionie side of M/M erotica, there can be a lot of crazy things. Common tropes in that arena are Conan the Barbarian type characters or genetically modified Super Soldier types and there seems to be a whole lot of beating the crap out of one another before anyone reaches for anyone else's "goodie bag". o_O

I think pretty much every line has been crossed in fiction. I can think of one particular example, but I’m not going to say it on the forum. I haven’t read it, as even the synopsis makes me feel sick. I can tell you over PM if you really want to know.

    You're no fun! :p

BTW, as a moose, and hence an animal, are you a no no? o_O Or do you mean "fair game" in a more literal sense than I do?

"I am not monster because you cage me. I am monster because I want to be free. I am monster because I do all I can to be free."

(My main character has an odd speech pattern because she learns how to speak, read, and write throughout the course of the story. Most of her communication for a good portion of it is with expressions and gestures. It's a graphic novel, so it works.)

I tried to think of my favorite line of dialogue from an MC but I realized I am less fond of any of their dialogue than of their actions. But I do so love cursing LOL

'Eadmond was lifting a spoonful of meat and potatoes to his mouth when cannon fire shook the boat, causing him to lurch forward, smearing food up his nose and sending the bowl into his lap. “Damn King Louie’s COCK!” he shouted slamming his fist into the table. Several men were startled and a few suppressed laughter. Metildes’ thoughts edged their way into Eadmond’s persona once more - screw this, let’s go back to the monastery. “What maggot brained son of cur is firing on us!?” Eadmond bellowed as he stood and wiped the loss of his remaining dinner onto the floor.'

But if he kills people he's still a murderer. Just a more dramatic one...

Don't worry, @mashers. As civilized beings, we are not required to base our sexual morality on the statements of plush toys. Because, eww.

Here's a little exchange between one of my MCs, Anna, and a guy in a bar right after he starts harassing her. First line is Anna.

“I’m wondering whether or not I should just cut off your hand or go all the way and pull the whole arm off. What do you think?”

    “Please…”

“Oh we’re saying ‘please’ now, are we?”

The man struggled against her. Pointless of course, she was a vampire.

“Or maybe” She continued, “I should get more creative and choose another…”, her eyes trailed the length of his body and lingered on his crotch,“...organ of yours. It’s not like you really have any use for it”

    “Please…”

“Again with the please. Such a polite boy”.

Who knows, so why worry about it. Depends on your definition of trouble anyway. Write what you want to write first, because you like it and it's what you want to read. There's a market for everything. That's why my current for-the-lulz side project is an alt-history Summerian sex romp featuring minotaurs and beheadings. It's fun for none of the family. Not a one.

I get that but I'm part of an unrelated forum for exclusive mod content and I get the sense that the animal part is becoming more and more uh... ew legal at least in literature portrays... XC I was looking on Amazon one time for self-published authors and ran into a bestiality category. D:

Message me if you want. I have a book: ancient Greece setting and a woman sacrifices her body to a minotaur God in order to gain power. But the scene is tasteful as in he enters the room to answer her prayers and takes her as an agreed offering, and leaves it pretty vague. It's a plot point I guess because later she bears a daughter from that god. Uh whats the name of it. hmm.. shoot it's not on my book shelf probably in a tote. I have too many books.

That was more explicit. The passage is only an implication. (And it happens to be a general rule that the implicit is more terrifying than the explicit.)

    (First person narration, not dialogue)
"When we got home it was more of the same. They argued in the kitchen. They argued in the living room. They argued in their bedroom. I was holed up in my own room (as usual), and I heard pretty much everything, even through headphones. The fight stopped being about the accident after a while. As time passed, the argument was about which things they hated in each other. That’s the way most married fights go, I think."

Sounds like my life growing up. What is your book about if you don't mind me asking? Are you doing a fiction or non-fiction (biography styled) book?
