    favourite word of the moment

Discussion in 'Word Mechanics' started by PBrady, Jan 31, 2014.

I'm sure there is a thread like this somewhere, but I can't find it.

So, your favourite word of the moment?

Mine is lassitude - a state of physical or mental weariness.
My usage "faulty car and cultural lassitude brought me to the cafe"

I have two today. Lithe - slim, supple, graceful.
Also sleep. I didn't sleep much last night, so it is much on my mind at the moment.

Vituperative - bitter and abusive. It's a fun word to say.

Handsome sounding word, especially with a pronounced 'oo' on the 'u'.

Catharsis has been my favourite word for a while now. I love everything about it from it's meaning to the journey you go on to get there!

    mishmash. No, specular. Donnybrook.

Aww, forget it. It takes more than a moment to write the post, and my "favorite" is morphing faster than a neutrino can dance.

Have you ever actually seen a neutrino dance? It's surprisingly slow. They like Perry Como a lot, as it turns out.

If you see a neutrino, you can't tell if it's dancing. If you see something dancing, you can't tell if it's a neutrino. Physics is a bitch, choreography-wise.
