I wanted to send a PM to another user, but I can't figure out how to do it. Is it the start a conversation thing? I don't want to leave a message on their profile, just send them a private one. Thanks.
Yeah, the take-away here is that in a Xenforo™ forum conversation is the term used to mean private message. We had a member a while back who was deeply concerned about using the conversations because the word private wasn't part of the name, and this member was deeply suspicious that his/her engagement through the conversations would be a matter of public access. It's not, and I basically gave up on trying to explain that a conversation and a private message are the exact same thing. Also, profile posts on Xenforo™ are what I think are called VM's in other forums like VBulletin™. Profile posts (when you go to someone's profile page and post on their "wall") are public access and not to be confused with conversations... which are private. You can follow the route mentioned above through your own inbox, or you can click a member's avatar and you'll get an option to start a conversation with that person in their member card. (that's what Xenforo calls that little info window)
