Funny where we get our ideas for descriptions sometimes.

Discussion in 'General Writing' started by Alesia, Jun 20, 2013.

I was trying to think of a way to describe someone waking up and opening their eyes to extremely bright daylight while looking up at a spinning ceiling fan. I'm mulling it over for a few hours and all the sudden I start thinking about the creation of the universe and the "big bang". Then somehow that evolved into likening the initial blinding exposure of light to the big bang and the fan being disjointed objects and particles that somehow gravitated toward a central nucleus and began to orbit around it. Then the particles began to take on form, something familiar, A FAN! I dunno it just seems funny to me how randomly this stuff comes sometimes.
