Okay so I am writing a story for school about a super hero whose power is basically being a human meteor. (It's more complex than that but I don't feel like explaining) Anyway, I am having trouble coming up with an appropriate name that I like. The setting is a futuristic city called Caldera (the city is located in a big crater). So far my ideas are Captain Caldera, Captain Crater, Crater-Man, The Meteor, or The Human Meteor. I don't really like any of these, do you? Do you Have a better idea? Meteor Man is already a super hero and that's just lame.
Captain Comet. Agent Asteroid. The Space Man. I dunno. I quite liked your suggestion of Captain Crater.
Shooting Star would seem the most - roll off the tongue - obvious and 'Hollywood' to me. Asteroid Man and the like sound shit but if I'm being frank, so does the whole premise.
The Amazing Man (Simple, cheesy, and cliched) Meteor Shower Mr. Comet Mr. Crater The Living Meteorite Admiral Asteroid (I doubt he has much to do with the navy) Commander Comet
A meteor is the flash of light that we see in the night sky when a small chunk of interplanetary debris burns up as it passes through our atmosphere. (from hubblesite.org) so...is he a flash of light? Or a life-sized flashlight? (Not poking fun, just trying to understand...)
If it was something else - I'd say caped crusader if it wasn't already taken. I personally liked Captain Random that this little site spat out http://superhero.namegeneratorfun.com/ Or try looking up meteor / comet in another language. I named one of my characters like this - just changed the meaning by removing a vowel at the end of the word so it was easier to pronounce.
