After walking around Barnes&Noble one day, I saw a copy of Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine (and later Ellery Queen Mystery magazine). By reading their short stories, I realized for the first time that I really enjoy the mystery genre. Now I'd love to find more magazines that focus on compiling short(er) stories like this, especially because they seem like the best way to experience many different stories across genres. However, I'm overwhelmed by the options--in B&N alone, I've seen the Paris and Gettysburg and Yale Reviews, Tin House, ZYZZYVA, and so much more! Can I get some recommendations? I'm open to all genres. I'm interested in knowing what others are reading.
