What if the three Star Wars trilogies were one trilogy? And what if, the way George Lucas made Star Wars a fantasy in space, what if this story was a sci-fi in a fantasy world? Basically, the first book would be the prequel trilogy but the events all happen in the same timeframe vs ten years and three years apart, then continuing the series the original trilogy would do the same thing (instead of rebuilding the series' Death Star equivalent, the first one would be repaired and improved) and finally, the sequel trilogy would be adapted this way to conclude the trilogy. (So obviously this idea can't be realized until Episode IX comes out.) What do you think? I think it'd be a cool homage for someone to write someday, if not me. In this story, ships would be dragons, speeders would be horses, lightsabers would be swords, the Force would be magic, planets would be countries, astromech droids would be sprites, protocol droids could be slave elves (like house elfs in Harry Potter but more like Middle-Earth elves) and so on.
hm. Sounds kinda fan-fiction. After all, we already have the plot of Star Wars in a fantasy setting, Eragon! Joking, juust joking. But this might be a cool writing exercise, trying to re-write a famously sci-fi trilogy in a fantasy world.
