    Greetings, humans

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by sci-fi_nerd_001, Feb 1, 2014.

    Hi all,

My name's James and I've been writing sci-fi stories for roughly two years.

The main problem I've faced is getting good feedback about my work, so I joined this forum with the hope of changing that. Is there a section of this forum that deals with giving feedback on work? If so, that would be really helpful.

    Thanks, guys!

    Welcome. :D

That would be the Workshop but there are requirements that need to be met before starting a thread there. Details can be found in the FAQ in the information tab.

It's a great place to get a variety of opinions as to how your work is currently reading to others. The requirements are minimal so it won't be long before you can post an excerpt. In the meantime, have a look around, check out the Resource section, or have a go at critiquing a piece yourself. There's much to be learnt, and scrutinising the work of others can help identify problem areas in your own work.

    Have fun.

Ah okay. It seems the Workshop is the place to start then.

Thanks for your help. :) This seems to be a good forum; the resources section looks fairly extensive, and the fact I got a reply so quickly says a lot.

    Thanks again. :)

    Welcome to the forum. :)

Welcome, humans? You make a broad assumption! On the internet no one knows you're a Tralmek. No one. ;)

Please have a look through the Forum Rules, and the FAQ as a start.

    Have fun! :D

Broad indeed! Anything goes out here. The internet is a scary place.

But in any case: welcome, and enjoy! :)

Indeed it is! What's even scarier is many mad and creative people in one place. Anything could happen! :p

Hi, I'm new here too. I'm also human, just so you know.

I'm human. You'll never prove otherwise.

I've recently had blood-shot eyes, and today someone told me that I look like I'm possessed. So like that, let's say I'm a daemon. Daemons are far cooler than humans!

I extend my greeting to any other mythical (or perhaps not so mythical) creatures.
