    Hello, I'm Vulffen.

My real name is Aaron, I'm 16, and I'm trying to get into writing. But I'm not good at it. So i came here for help.

Most of my stuff is about anthropomorphic characters. I'm into the furry fandom, But I'm not the "murrypurry" sexual stereo type that has destroyed the publics view of it.

I currently have two stories I plan to work on.

Projekt: Prospekt; The setting of this story is in the year 3046 In a city called Hingedread. The main character Vulffen C. Catatonik (my persona. Or "fursona" as members of the furry fandom call it.) A white anthropomorphic cat "Prospekting" For a Cyber-Punk Motorcycle gang

The enemies the Projekt MC have to face are the usual rival gangs and a Corporation called "Bell-Head" Who have taken over the world completely. Specializing in neural implants, Prosthetic limbs, and Androids. They have taken human law enforcement and army soldiers and have replaced them with androids superior to man.

The Projekt MC want the world back the way it was hundreds of years ago before Bell-Head Corp took everything over, But that wont happen. So of course they are the worst criminals known to the Bell-Head Corp.

I feel alot of facts in this story will be hard to get around. So it will take quite abit of clever thinking on my behalf. Which is why before I get into this one, I go onto my other story.

And To The Dust We Shall Return: A Post Apocalyptic story (I LOVE This genre) About another anthropomorphic white cat character named Zhanna Zatchell. Set two or three years after 2012 (I dont believe the 2012 rumors. But I felt it was fun to use that date)

Zhanna knows a great deal of working on machinery and technology. Before the apocalypse she helped her father work on cars and computers since she was a child. With that being said. She will try her best to survive in the wasteland with the things she has learned in her life.

Through Zhanna's life. Her mother always recited the bible passage "Through thorns and thistles shall bring forth for us. For out of the ground we are taken from the dust we are. And to the dust we shall return." Once the rumors of 2012 began to pop up. Zhanna's mother recited this passage to herself every day.

A few months before 2012 everyone was taken into underground shelters. All residents are given their own rooms, Which are small and cramped. And the halls of the shelters are narrow. The main room is huge. With a park, a baseball field, and a farm to attempt to grow crops.

I have the prologue written which explains most of the stuff before the apocalypse that i have stated. All up until the few moments after Zhanna escapes the shelter. If anyone is interested i can post it. Though there are things that need fixing. Ive had comments that the prose and grammar needs work. But, Thats why i'm here. For improvement :)

I'm thinking of writing short stories before i get into my two main ones. So i can work on the aspects i need to improve. I look forward to reading many stories here. And receiving some helpful critique!

Hello Aaron, Welcome to the Writing Forums.

Before you can get critique, you must first give constructive critique. This is not just a quid pro quo, it is because improving your critiquing skills is the primary focus of the Review Room workshop. Improving your critiquing skills will improve your ability to find and fix weaknesses in your own writing.

Please read How to Use the Review Room before you post there. Posting your own writing for people to comment on should not be among the very first things you do here. It is worth taking the time to see what other people have done to improve their writing, and see if some of it applies to your writing as well. That is part of why we require members to review other members' work before posting their own for review. On the other hand, there are no restrictions, other than content and copyright rules, on showcasing your work in your member blog.

Also, be aware that posting a piece of writing on any public site, including this one, will greatly diminish your chances of selling it for publication. Removing the writing later does not alter that fact - once posted, it is irreversibly considered published. So do not post anything more than a small excerpt of any piece you are planning to submit for publication.

If you haven't explored the site yet, you should probably do so soon. Newcomers often gravitate to the Lounge, the Word Games, or the Review Room, but there is much more to be discovered if you poke in the corners. Remember to check out our FAQ as well, and be sure to read through the forum rules, too, to avoid any misunderstandings or hurt feelings. Respect for one another is our principal mandate.

As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize constructive critique as a vital writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room forums on this site, therefore, are true workshops, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work (and on that note, please only post each item for review in one Review Room forum). Also, please use the same thread for all revisions and additional excerpts from the same piece of writing. See this post, Why Write Reviews Before Posting My Work? for more information.

And while you're looking around, don't forget to check out the RPG forum for improvisational fiction. Also try our Weekly Short Story Contest and Weekly Poetry Contest. They actually run more than one week apiece, but any member may enter, and all members are urged to vote for their favorites.

Enjoy your stay here, and have fun!
