    Blimey if that's a newel post, I'm not coming round your house with my doddery mum-in-law. My knowledge of staircase parts isn't common then (it seems). I'm feeling all esoteric now.
    For what it is, the same word is used when describing the shaft in a motor. < Given it away now.

    You're on better footing with this next one @ajaye 'cause I've no idea whatsoever with this one (yet). It's so much more difficult when you don't set them up yourself. Sheesh.

    It's a good guess but it's not right.

    Mr Fishy is very upset that you think he's nightmare fodder. He really tried hard to look good for the camera :(
