So, I'm new to this site. My mother told me to get into a writing thing so I am. I'm in middle school, I write horror, fantasy, comming of age, and humour stories. Plus the stuff I have to to write from school are always more than 15 pages. Which is probably the reason I never get to read my stories like everyone else. {FlightMaster, a short story I had to write for class is one...} I'm currently reading Twilight by Stephnie Meyer, and I love it. I've actually started a vampire book of my own. I'm also an artist, I draw manga and write comic books. I'm actually a published mangaka..My newspaper runs my comics. Well, my school newspaper. But still. I love comming up with new characters and my favourite song is 'Piazza, New York Catcher' by Belle & Sebastion. And I love Buddy Holly. Anyway, that's about it.
Hi Eepytomi, Welcome to the forum. Cool avatar. Looking forward to seeing you around and reading some of your work.
Hello Eepytomi, Welcome to the Writing Forums. Posting your own work should not be the very first thing you do here. It is really worthwhile to see what other people have done to improve their writing, and see if some of it applies to your writing as well. That is part of why we require members to review other members' work before posting their own for review. On the other hand, there are no restrictions, other than content and copyright rules, on showcasing your work in your member blog. If you haven't explored the site yet, you should probably do so soon. Newcomers often gravitate to the Lounge, the Word Games, or the Review Room, but there is much more to be discovered if you poke in the corners. Remember to check out our FAQ as well, and be sure to read through the forum rules, too, to avoid any misunderstandings or hurt feelings. Respect for one another is our principal mandate. As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room forums on this site, therefore, are true workshops, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work (and on that note, please only post each item for review in one Review Room forum). See this post, Why Write Reviews Before Posting My Work? for more information. Enjoy your stay here, and have fun!
Welcome! I started writing at a very young age as well. I just wish my parents would tell me to join a writing forum, instead of nagging about how horrible the computer is . . . Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing you on the forums!
Hey Eepytomi! Welcome to the forums! Like you, when I was in high school, I was the kid who wrote stories that were waaaaayyyy too long, ha. Anyway, welcome!
Haha! Thanks a bunch. ^-^ Will do. Thank you. Ha. My parents often nag me a lot to get off the computer. But since I'm forced to type for a half hour each night, they thought to put internet in it would be good. xD And thank you quite much! Yeah, there's always one kid in the class that will write a mini novel. One guy about a year or two older than me wrote 300 pages for out Author's Fair, while everyone else just got over 100.... Thanks for the welcome. I feel so loved around here.
Welcome to the forum, I sure wish I had a mother who encouraged me at that age. Count yourself lucky.
