Hi ! My name is Carine, I'm 20 years old and... I'm French ! I want to challenge myself and try to write in another language. I study creative writing at the University, and I consider participating in a exchange to study creative writing in US (France is just beginning to teach this field, so courses aren't really interresting). But it's a little bit hard for me to write correctly in english. I LOVE writting and, particulary, science-fiction or fantasy stories. At the moment, I write a fantasy novel and I'm going to participate in Nanowrimo (and make a success of it) Otherwise, I like reading (my favourite books are : Harry Potter (it's my childhood!) ; A Resurrection of Magic by Kathleen Duey), watching some televisions soap (like Doctor Who, Supernatural), ridding horses and drawing. So... I hope I have not make too many faults Carine
Hi Carine! Welcome to the forum! Nice to meet other writers whose first language isn't English. I also love riding horses -- and Supernatural! I sympathize with your language-learning quest. I'm studying French... it's not very easy, to be honest. Or maybe I'm just a bit slow. Either way, I like your language and country. J'aime la France! Here's our New Member Quick Start to get you started. See you around! -Kat P.s. Instead of "fault", you would say "make mistakes." You could, however, say "it's not your fault." And there are no double-consonants in writing and riding. However, your English is waaay better than my French!
