Hey guys. I posted a few poems here and a short story and now I thought I'd say hello. I'm this 21 year old kid. I'm a massive stoner, but I was studying medicine in Hungary before I dropped out. Now I'm back to writing for fun. I went through this whole “writing is juvenile” phase, but I decided to quit that and save my sanity. I've worked at a couple of local Newspapers as layout, photographer, and staff writer, respectively. I wrote for Eve Online and got invited on there as a content producer but couldn't take the job seeing as how they were in Iceland. We had a book deal too, but that fell through. I thought the Eve sci-fi writers were pretty slick. Plus we all had mad art skills. So I've still got those, and I do music. I also wrote for Gamers Hell and a submitted a few paid pieces to game journalists. That's my writer-career, basically. Neat, huh? I'm sad. Doing what you love is hard. I'm mainly looking for other writers who want to get published. I want to represent people as an agent, and I know how that whole deal works and have agent friends. But mostly, I just want people to write with. Feel free to contact me anytime if you need reviews or are trying to get published or are looking for an agent. I love dealing with that stuff. Mostly I just want to help people. I might seem like an ass while reviewing something, but it's just my sense of humor. Besides, sometimes people get new ideas when they're hit from left field. I never want to offend people though. I mean, hell, if you write, and like to, then it's your business to take all the criticism you can get. If you haven't really explored the site yet, you should probably do so soon. As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room forums on this site, therefore, are true workshops, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work (and on that note, please only post each item for review in one Review Room forum). Now. You're all gonna help us nail that publishing contract right? What I figure we do, is all start writing, and then merge our series into one super series, forcing every fan of everyone to buy every book in order to catch up. Muhah.
