Hello all. I have been reading a little on here over the last few months looking for tips and information. I am 39 years old from Nottinghamshire and currently drive for a living which gives me a lot of time inside my own head. I have wanted for years to get into writing and have so many scenes and characters floating around in my mind but haven't a clue how to begin. So here I am hoping we can all offer each other guidence and inspiration. Cheers Ian

Welcome to the forum, Ian. No one ever was a writer before they started putting words on a page. You're in good company, and we've all been there.
Probably nothing too great to be honest although I do have a bottle my sister in law gave us.... I will dig it out and have a look
Hello @VytalSigns I'm a new member on here also! The characters and stories in your head thing you said sounds very familiar What I would do is just write. Get some sentences down on paper and you'll be surprised at how quickly that builds up into a first draft. I am writing a first draft at the moment and I have to constantly keep reminding myself that it is indeed just that, a first draft. In other words it is not going to be perfect, it's just getting the story down on paper and seeing where it takes you too. Best
