Hello. Newbie from New Zealand

Hello all,

My name is Marcus. I'm from Auckland, New Zealand.

I love good stories, and I've decided to write, but only if I can write really cool stories that I'd read myself.

I have considered screenwriting, but the types of stories I'd want to write would be big budget, and I figure it would be difficult to get a movie made these days unless you already had a big fan base.

I've done a bit of writing here and there over the years. I've read a lot of books and watched a lot of movies, but lack insight into plot structure, character development etc.

So basically, I'm at a stage where I want to learn how to do this properly, before I start writing.

My absolute favorite genre of all time is treasure hunting action/adventure. Closely followed by Zombie Apocalypse. I'd like to focus on the former genre, as it's quite exciting to me.

Well, look forward to learning lots on the forum and hopefully connecting with future colleagues.

Welcome to the forum. Hope you're avoiding the earthquakes that seem to be frequenting NZ recently. I have a cuz living there and he's always on my mind when the news reports yet another tremor.

 

Not specifically, but that is one of the greatest hits. Haha

 

Luckily Auckland seems to be earth quake proof. It's only the other major cities that seem to get affected. Touch wood...
