I was looking for an online community that would suite for me, and I wish to find like-minded people to chat with and be-friend. I am soon to be 20 years old woman from Finland, and if it isn't too obvious I love writing. Mostly i write in my native language, Finnish, but English is fine too. Not that fluent maybe and I do apologize for any grammar mistakes I may make. I started writing almost ten years ago via role playing, and fell in love with it. I enjoyed especially a good story and creative characters. Than, three or four years ago the site I was using was deleted and I lost contact with writing for some time. I'd love to start role playing again but haven't run into anything interesting or a good, warm community. And that is mostly what I am searching, warm, supportive and creative community/people. At the moment I have graduated from high school last December and don't yet have a job. In Finland we can apply for a university next month, so I'm waiting for that. In the mean while I have been enjoying my many, many hobbies as I have too much free time. I have been acting for many years in a small, local theater. I at the moment have a few small roles in two plays, which really consumes time. I also direct theater for children and have started poetry reciting and pen-and-paper-roleplaying. I have also started writing a novel of my own, in Finnish. I also listen to a lot of different music, read, draw, paint, play guitar and watch TV. About my personality I can say that I am kind, open-hearted and smart. I usually help other people and I'm a good listener, who has been through some hardship. Actually half a year ago I was still suffering from depression, but now future seems bright. -er. I am also empathic person, partly due to every thing that has happened. I also love animals, my father, who I live with has two dogs, and I myself have a cat. As a friend I am honest and loyal.
Welcome to the forums. I used to be part of a big role-playing forum. It had different areas set up for different settings, and I was connected to other forums, each representing a different kingdom with different rules and laws. I ran a smithy that created unique enchanted weapons and armor. Basically I'm saying that I know how much fun it can be. I always preferred the chat set-up for it though. Where it's more rapid-fire with shorter actions and responses. They have a very well written role-playing community here. I have taken a look, but haven't taken part in it myself. It's been... 9-10 years since I've taken part in a roleplaying community. You sound like an interesting person and I am sure everyone will welcome you here with open arms.
Welcome to the forum @Catnip , you've come to the right place! We're all creative-minded people here, with our own passions and projects that we're working on, and this forum is a wonderful support community, a great place for us to improve our craft while helping others improve as well. And of course, making friends and sharing experiences. So, once again, welcome, you're gonna love it here. P.S. I'm a huge animal lover myself and cats, ah cats are at the very top of the list of my favorite animals. I'm just absolutely crazy about the fluffy goofballs
Thank you! @Arcadeus and @Fernando.C I myself didn't really get into the chat set-up, as it was on "my" site very poorly made, sadly. I must check the roleplaying community out, I might try out that again. It really seems that I have, @Fernando.C That is exactly what I have been looking for, for a long time. Thank you. Nice to hear, do you have pets yourself?
Oh I grew up with cats practically all around me. Right now though I don't have a pet of my own since I really can't afford one. My grandma has a cat named Leo who I absolutely love and adore and whom I haven't seen in over 2 years on account of me moving to the UK. Man, you have no idea how much I would love to have a pet cat or a dog - but mostly a cat. Alas, that's not feasible for now. My landlord has this awesome dog, though, who I get see on a daily basis, so I'm not entirely without an animal in my life . That'll have to do for now, I suppose.
Oh, I myself grew up with dogs. We used to have three of them, the oldest was a labrador who passed away few years ago. That's a bummer, but well it does take a lot of money. I wouldn't myself have my cat if my parents hadn't offered to pay for him. He's a two year old persian called Oliver, or "Olli" for short in Finnish. I couldn't imagine a life without a pet. When I'm at my boyfriend's or my mother's it feels a bit empty as they don't have any. I'm maybe a bit too used to it. And as I would describe myself as an introvert, I spend a lot of time at home and it would be too lonely without Oliver. I hope that you will get a chance to get one at some point or another Well at least you don't have to be completely without a pet
Me and my wife have 4 indoor cats, a Pomeranian, and 1 garage cat. Garage cat I found out about after she had already taken it in. I think she had it a few weeks before I saw it.
