Hello. I am an autistic novice writer who also works with autistics as a teacher/tutor. I've noticed that most stories about people like me aren't by people like me, and rarely have us as the actual main character. Only one I can really think of that does is The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime but his autism was unrealistic or at least rare (I did know one kid sorta like him... but that's out of probably 400+ that I've worked with in my life) and The Speed of Dark which I have no complaints about other than the ending and also not an autistic author. So anyway I'm hoping to change that by combining my experiences plus experiences I have seen plus more to try to make a decent book that maybe will one day be published. I hope that wasn't too crazy lol.
