Hi folks, I'm just getting started into creative writing so I'm a complete beginner. I'm 36 and my only writing experience is from when I was at school and I used to love writing stories for English assignments. For years I've had an idea in the back of my head for wanting to write a fiction novel but as I'm sure you all know, life gets in the way until one day you suddenly decide to go for it. I'm not too worried on wanting to make a career out of writing but I do intend to write some novels and try and get them published in some form if they are good enough. I'm currently working on the plan for my first book and I'm wondering if anyone had any recommendations on good books about creative writing? Thanks.
