Hello everybody, I've been lurking for a few days, and I guess now it's time to introduce myself. I'm a non-native speaker, European, (much) older than 20 and write my short stories, flash, essays and fanfiction in English. And, being socialised as a writer far (temporally and geographically) from modern anglo-american "creative writing" formalism, I mistrust every form of writing by numbers (also called "ze rulez" by those in the know). Looking forward to many interesting, controversial discussions
All kinds of games, but nowadays it's usually computer games, mostly RPGs. I'm an avowed fan of the Elder Scrolls universe, and as I hate (and suck at) worldbuilding, it serves as a wonderful, fully fleshed out background for my characters' shenanigans.
Yeah, like that. I mean, I make occasionally use of the NPCs, but that's the good thing with game NPCs, they're not much more than blueprints to fill out for me anyway. And who can resist a megalomanical Ulfric Stormcloak?
Everything. Started when Morrowind was released, but as I'm the proud owner of the ES anthology, I caught up with Daggerfall and Arena as well. And I also like ESO, although that may sound like blasphemy to hardcore ES fans. It has gone a long way since launch.
I've played from Morrowind onward (including ESO) and I've played an hour or two of Arena using DOSBox. I like ESO, but all the extra purchases really annoy me. Although, that's more of a MMO thing rather then a ESO specific problem
