I've thought about writing for a long time. As long as I can remember. I never did it much, though. But I've started to. I hope being here will help me write more and write better. It feels so good to write something. I don't know how to describe it. Like I've done something. I don't do much, so that feeling is nice and new.

If you haven't yet found time to explore the site, you may want to do so soon. You'll get to know the members and what the site has to offer. In particular, you find plenty of activities, from word games to weekly competitions, that will provide opportunities to write on a regular basis. As in most endeavors, there is nothing like practice to reinforce good habits.

I think I'm going to concentrate on flash fiction. You know, real short little pieces. I tend to like the strange, the fantastic. I don't know. I guess I'd call it magic realism, but it might not be.

Also, most of my stories mean something. Often metaphorical or allegorical or whatever the right word is.

I'll post a couple things and would like to hear what you all think.
