I decided to get a little bit more serious about writing, knowing I would regret not giving it a proper shot, so here I am. I'm still a noob, lurking in the threads and reading the comments. Some informative people here, I'm sometimes staggered at how detailed some peoples replies are to others' work. Some of you are obsessed with editing! Horror's my interest, so think Lovecraft or Stephen King type stuff. Occasionally comedy (I'm funny, got it?). I have a few ideas for novels but I'm sticking with short stories at the moment - I'm still practicing. See you in the threads!
Welcome. I am a creep and the dullest of the dull when it comes to editing. I kinda see it like this: If I don't like it; it must be wrong. Joke. I have to put joke in case people- God forbid- do not realise it's a joke. "Joke" has become the most common word I use, it is battling "the" for supremacy. "The" won by the the way, with a final by the way. I used to love Stephen King as a kid. I disliked his third acts... the fate of a pantser... you don't know where you're going so a shit scary clown become a giant spider- ugh... I love that poem Edgar Allan Lovecraft wrote about the voodoo crow.
Cheers for the salutations, you two! Don't worry, I am of course a much better writer than Stephen King, guys. Fact.
Greetings from another newbie! It's great to see another person that's using this site to start getting more serious about writing - think it means I've probably come to the right place! Can't wait to do some detailed editing either...
Sorry, I should have said g'day to R. Eagle first. G'day R. Eagle! You've made me smile at some of your comments. And your avie. Welcome and see you around.
