I've loved writing since the 2nd grade, and while I've written many poems and other little things, I'm just now getting serious about becoming a published author. I'm currently in the beginning phases of writing the first novel I'm going to finish. These forums seem like a great way to help me grow as a writer, and a great way for me to help out fellow writers.
Hey there, Brie Marie. You'll have gotten a PM from me upon joining. Give it a skim (at least) because the answers to many of the most frequently asked newbie questions are to be found therein. Then, come and chat. It's a good group. Not so huge that you're lost in a sea of what the heck is even going on, and not too small that there's a lack of activity and interaction.
