    Hi guys

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by AJC, Nov 1, 2013.

    Hi everyone,

I'm a long time lurker and decided to sign up. This seems like a very active community and a great place to improve my writing. I've already learned a lot just from reading through some of the discussions.

I have a lot more free time now that my postdoc is over and I have a steady job. I'm trying to focus on improving my writing and learning about publishing, which I hope to do in the near future. I read and write science fiction for the most part because I've always been interested in science and my degree is in a scientific discipline.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and learning about ways to improve my writing.

    Cheers!

P.S. - I should note that this is only my second forum I've been a part of, so I'm still learning a lot about the forum itself. The last time I took part in forum discussions was about 7 or 8 years ago.

Cool, a PhD + in physics, perfect for a sci-fi writer. That's impressive.

I finally figured out how to quote more than one person in a reply. :D

Thank you. The degree helps with the science part, but I'm still having trouble with the fiction part. Lol. That's why I'm here.

I will do that. Thanks for the info and for the welcome. Is your name pronounced the same way as Ray? I know it doesn't really matter since we're on the internet, but it's always nice to know how to pronounce someone's name.
