Hi all My name is Nichola but only on a Sunday and when I am at my Mums. Otherwise it's Nic and never, ever Nicky. I wrote my first story when I was six years old and have been scribbling ever since. I cannot remember a time in my life when I wasn't reading a book, starting with Enid Blytons Famous Five and currently I am in love with Chick Lit, fave authors include Marian Keyes, Jill Mansell, Carole Matthews etc etc. I have an online blog called Diary of a Single Mother which is purely fictitious and tend to write chick litty sort of stuff. Glad I have found this forum and look forward to meeting you all Nic
Hey, welcome! Ooh, I remember my Enid Blytons too. Yeah, one of the first I read... I found all of them a great read I agree with you again on the Chic Lit - Marian Keyes is great Anyway, hope to see your writing soon, talk to you around the threads!
My dad's name is Nick, but he's no chick. He can sometimes look like brick, but he's defenitly not sick. I made a welcome ryhme XD
Wow I am impressed already with what i see is such an obvious talent for making a humorous ode. As long as you don't call me a dick I dont mind. ;-) I hope to see you around Pegasi and thanks to you both for the lovely welcome, very sweet.
Hello Nic, Welcome to the Writing Forums. Far better chicky lit than kitty litter, the latter would be far more gritty. If you haven't explored the site yet, you should probably do so soon. Newcomers often gravitate to the Lounge, the Word Games, or the Review Room, but there is much more to be discovered if you poke in the corners. Remember to check out our FAQ as well! As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room forums on this site, therefore, are true workshops, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work (and on that note, please only post each item for review in one Review Room forum). See this post, Why Write Reviews Before Posting My Work? for more information. Enjoy your stay here, and have fun!
hello and welcome to the forum I hope that you have a most wonderful time here with all of us and don't worry, you will at some point come face to face with the forum crazies, but they don't bite at all, so you are pretty safe I guess. If they do bite....hmmm.... have fun and see you around the boards anyways.... torana
