I'm ThatNerdyAuthor! I'm new here, and just have some questions.
    1) Is mild profanity allowed? Just asking for reference.
    2) What kind of things go on here?
    and
    3) How are all of y'all today?

Not usually since this could be misinterpreted and cause offence. Though might not have been your intention. For more information about what is and isn’t allowed see this link.

Discussion, debate, contests, critique, exchange, feedback. Writing. Reading.

Not too bad. How are you?

Despite Xoic's response, please remain cognizant that this is an international and multi-cultural forum. What you consider "mild profanity" could be deeply offensive to some cultures. There may not be an active naughty language filter on this site such as there is on several other forums where I participate, but the fact remains that we are here to discuss writing ... and resorting to profanity is [in general] what we do when we have run out of civilized ways to convey our thoughts.
