how did you chose your username?

Mine is in reflection to my first real name in sound.

 

I like the cooler and dimmer lighting. So my 'space' feels like a cave.

 

Somewhere in the Lounge there's already an old thread with a similar title..."How Did You Get Your Username" or "How Did You Come Up With Your Username" or something. I'm certain of it, because I answered it.

 

And so where does troll come from?

There were four previous threads for this, all of them total zombe', like 2012. A fresh start is okay.

 

If you guessed "space rock," well, you'd be 100% incorrect. Moon is the MC from my WIP, so I went with that.

Fairly certain I did, too.

 

Short version, from my Signature: "As writers, we put our characters through all sorts of shenanigans. That makes us "shenanigators".

Slightly longer version: My sister called the neighbors' cat "a little shenanigator" (some of my friends here know him as "Visitin' Kitteh"), so the word came from him. But I use it as a synonym for "writer" because of the above^^^.

 

I came here to WF as I wanted to learn the craft of writing. I had no story to tell and no plan to be an author. That was two years ago. I have never studied writing or language since i left school. So the only thing that could help me with this was the fact that I allways loved reading. As young I was obsessed with reading. A rough estimate would be that i have read something between 3 and 5 thousand books. That would be more than a giga byte of text.
I am a GigaByte reader.

 

My username is the result of an epiphany. I hadn't intended to reveal any of my madness to the world, so I had another name ready. Then I realized my story wasn't about my selfish needs, and I don't write for glory (anyway). I'm just Some Guy trying to tell a story (or two).

I thought it was a HHGTTG reference.

I've had Thundair since 96. I used to own an ozone company that purified water in places like the San Diego Zoo and other water-parks.
One of the engineers at the time noted that the sweet smell after a thunderstorm was ozone, and he came up with the name which I used for the company. After I sold out I kept the name because that's what old people do.
Since I've been on this forum I'm thinking of changing it to 'Mentally Challenged' or some other politically correct name.

I love how everyone put so much thought into their usernames and I just strung three random names together, said it once in my head to see if they sounded good together, and went with it.

 

And my username is just my initials and four numbers I liked together. Because I am very creative.

1. Fox was taken.

2. I can be inappropriate, a scoff-law, dare-I-say even flagrant, and the foxhounds can go shove it.

 

Wanted something short and punchy (not unlike myself) and was reading a lot about the American Old West at the time.

 

Was thinking of a somewhat basic, robotic sounding name. Also, wanted this for a Gmail, but didn’t workout.

 

Mine is the name of my main from Guild Wars 2, a Norn warrior. But Loa means lover of anime.
