Hi everyone! I seek opportunity for improving my writing skills. Figured that joining would help motivate me as well. My long term goal is to be able to write all those damn novels I've been wanting to write. Some serial. Some not. You know. My short term goal is to write more and stare at the damn page less. (Though I presume that a fair number of members here want that for themselves-- even the ones that write for a full hour and stare for just a moment.) Glad to be here thus far. Tal'ma'te!
Welcome! My first impression: Stargate fan! (it was a great show for the first 7 seasons). In terms of writings, they are plenty of books about writings novels, I recommend having a browse at a book shop of some form and see what they have and what you feel you need to brush upon. There is a lot more to writing then just spelling and grammar. Certainly the remoc of a story is the best Now, for a bit of my inner geek: Ba'ja'kakma'te, Tal mal'tiak mal we'ia. Ral-tora kree!
It is true, Though it seems Kree (attention stand guard etc...) Seems to fulfill a lot of roles and I think it has been used as a way to say "I am grateful" also, forgot to say, but you should check out the new member's guide
Welcome! Welcome to the madhouse. This is a great place for nerdy types so you should fit in well. And yeah, everyone struggles with getting more done. I find it quite a problem. But you just have to keep moving forward.
Jaffa, kree! I have to say, Jack O'Neill actually inspired an entire character of mine. He changed a lot over the course of the manuscript, but basically it all started with Jack. Anyway, welcome to the forum! What kind of novel are you currently working on? Here's our New Member Quick Start to get you started. See you! -Kat
Kree. That's, uh... that's probably my second greatest issue. I've been thinking about doing short stories first in order to wet my feet a bit. After all, the only thing separating the two are length and detail.
