How hard is it to publish urban stories

Discussion in 'Traditional Publishing' started by northernpsyche, Oct 14, 2012.

Hi, does anyone have any experience of getting 'urban' genre stories published? Actually 'urban' could be a sub genre, well according to Duotrope.
I imagine there more difficult as there not as mainstream as say 'Romance'

    Thanks in advance.

yes, it's more a sub-genre... are you asking about urban-horror?... or what?

as for how 'hard' it is, that has more to do with how many/few magazines publish the kind of writing you do and the quality of your writing, than it does with genre per se...

Urban British culture, street literature, that type of thing. Yeah that makes sense. Better get researching those mags.
