Question [Solved] How do I prevent links from being turned into [MEDIA]?

Turn some text into a link rather than just pasting the link in.

When just adding the link:


When calling it something:
Cats!

 

This was a sharing link to a google doc which has succeeded in the past. Now it is being 'munged' and re-mogrified, and it becomes a giant grey box with a message that says not 'accessible'. Grrr

 

As text:

 

As 'Cats!'

(Just write 'Cats!', select it, click the link button, paste the link. Or write [url="your_google_docs_url_here"]Cats![/url].)

Ummm, @Komposten, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think we allow those sorts of external links as a matter of policy though, do we?
