I thought I put this up as a ''get to know each other'' thread. I am thirty five and I am an artist at heart. I would want to take up painting/drawing as part of my job.
14, well rounded, mostly good at drawing and writing. Good taste in music, and I would be ideal for a game making company.
Party Poison ....so young compared to me. What draws you into such a forum? and what is your avatar about?
I'm 21, and published mainly as a journalist but I've had one or two short stories published on the net, but they are not worth the effort of finding again. I have a variety of interests: history (particularly the Greeco/Roman Classical era and Christian Middle ages), guitars (I used to be in a garage band, and I mostly play grunge and Alt-Rock), films, shooting, Italian food, Mythology, and paintballing My ideal job would be a teacher.
I'm 27 and I work for an international magazine, though on sales not in writing - writing about wholesale telecommunications holds little interest for me! On the side I work for an multimedia magazine where I write gaming and film reviews and the occasional feature. The pay is irrelevant (literally! lol) I just enjoy writing. My ideal job would be novelist, writing from a beach in the bahamas.... yes, yes I'm trailing off, but still!
@Amsterdamassassin You can be my nemesis if you want, assassin? The job won't consist of much unfortunately, but you'll get to live in a subterranean lair of your choosing and make witty puns about how your best laid plans were foiled by a dastardly apple. I'm game if you are! haha
I'm 50. I'd love to be a folksinger. I know hundreds of songs and I can play guitar pretty well - I love my twelve-string! But I have a bad case of stage fright. Performing in front of people is very stressful to me. I'm trained as an electrical engineer. I have a love/hate relationship with that profession. It makes me my living, and I'm glad I understand technology, but at times it, too, is stressful and often very boring. So I write. Lots of fun, no performance anxiety, and it's only boring if I make it boring, which I try not to do.
I'm 15, I love theatre and modeling, but not as much as I love writing. I hope to someday find a successful career in freelance writing. I'd love to be able to work from my home for a magazine/newspaper and have a few books out. Goodness, to be a bestselling author would be a dream!
Fifty-eight, and my ideal job would be a science specialist aboard a starship when I grow up. I could settle for teaching math and/or science (high school or college level preferred).
I worked with a girl that was going to school to become a funeral director. It is very, very intense and involves a bunch of studying. I know in Canada that you need to be re-licensed on a regular basis.
