How valuable is a review from SPR, or Self-publishing Review? Has anyone had experience with them?

    Call me crazy, but I don't read reviews, even though I sometimes write them.
    When I acquire a new book it's usually in plain brown packaging, so I don't even know the title. Sometimes the book inside is crap, sometimes it's a pleasant surprise. And since most the books I read are ARCs, there generally aren't any reviews out yet anyway. (Plus they are free which is an added benefit.) For me, that's what makes reading fun. Every book is like a fortune cookie; you have no idea what's inside.
