    I, Claudius

Discussion in 'Discussion of Published Works' started by Lemex, Jan 18, 2015.

Ok, so I've just got myself a nice copy of I, Claudius by Robert Graves.

It's this nice, leatherbound book that I picked up in a second hand shop because I thought it might appreciate in value within a few years. I sometimes do this, and antique books is something I have a big love for anyway, but I also obviously enjoy reading these old books too. (as an added, side question, who here has read very old collections of poetry? How weird are the typefaces!)

I, Claudius is a book I've heard a lot about, but none of my friends have read it and so I was wondering: has anyone here read it? And what did you think of it?

I'll not be reading it right away, I've plenty on my 'To Read' list before this, but still, I'm curious.

I've heard of this book because I've seen it on a few top 100 lists.

Also, I love antique books as well (but I think you knew that already). :D
