I could use some help deciding on a name!

Discussion in 'Character Development' started by theoriginalmonsterman, Mar 1, 2015.

This is pretty pathetic, but after brainstorming for multiple months now I cannot find a name that suits the main character for the huge epic story I'm brainstorming. The reason that this character makes such a big deal is, because I'm planning on making this story an ongoing series (somewhat to the length of one of those well-known animes).

Anyways the main question here is: What should I name my main character? I want it to be a unique name though that stands out. I don't know... you guys got any ideas?

If you want a name with class, a nice ring to it, and a bit of mystique, then name him Daemon.

Well the story starts off in the normal world, so he would preferably have a normal name.

I guess I should be more specific XD

He's a boy 13 year old boy that lives in a rural area in an old fashioned house. He lives alone due to his only family member being his father who is constantly away on business trips. Due to him living in a rural area he doesn't have any internet, so he spends most of his days reading books or watching the news (because that's the only station he gets on his old television set). He'll sometimes ride his bike to the nearby town that somewhat looks like http://www.visitingnewengland.com/portsmouth.html. He has friends in the nearby town that he uses chats with. Overall he lives a fairly simple life.

He has scruffy hazelnut colored hair, and livid colored eyes. He's just about 5 feet tall and is thin.

Does that paint a better picture?

Usually that's used in connection with a bruise, or the way someone's face looks when he or she is really, really angry.

Felix sounds interesting, and the Hightower suggestion best conveys his remoteness (terrible at last names myself, though)... But maybe a little more bookish/scholarly is what you're looking for? Ambrose? Gregory? Jerome? Leo? Albert? Augustine?

Well if you want to play with that - I still like having a F name. Personally I'm fine with "Felix" but...

    Festus Hightower (Like that)
    Francis Hightower
    Faustus Hightower
    Finnian Hightower
    Fitzroy Hightower
    Finlay Hightower

...dang this baby naming site is working for me today...

    Fulbright Hightower
    Felton Hightower
    Fallon Hightower

I think the color you're looking for is "Slate" :)

    Wait - that's also a name

    Slate Hightower.

    Sounds rural and remote...
