I am not sure if this is the right forum for me. I love metaphors and my writing reflects that. I have an overwhelming desire to inspire so I guess I am more self help than novel material. My reasons for coming to this site is to see if I am actually any good at inspiring others into action. Am I in the right place?
I too am a fan of metaphor. The simile is too noncommittal. It's a hedged bet that leaves an escape hatch of "I only said like, not is!" You'll find me talking about this very thing over in this thread. Feel free to resurrect it. The discussion died off long before I think we really got anywhere.
