    Welcome.

Dystopian sport comedy? That is new to me - can you give some examples?

I can honestly say I've never read a dystopian sports comedy, so I'll sure be interested if you post any.
    Welcome to the forums, Trubb!

    Uh-oh... here comes trubble! o_O :D

This is a very good approach. Scout out the territory, learn the ways of the strange inhabitants before plunging in.

Welcome from one of the stranger inhabitants. I'm wondering if I can invent a new genre based on Front Range Traffic in Colorado: Dystopian Traffic Games, where people are challenged to escape The People's Republic of Boulder equipped only with a Yamaha YZF R3 and a bag of designer weed.

There have been some good dystopian sports stories. The Hunger Games was cool. The Running Man was good. Rollerball with James Caan was the bomb. Deathrace 2000 with Sylvester Stallone and David Carridine also rocked.

    Hello and welcome.

You write for grown ups? Are we talking XXX here or just not YA?

    Either way, welcome aboard.

Well done for making it more ambiguous. :p

Surely it's objective, though. Adults read comic books and watch superhero movies, etc, doesn't mean that "they've refused to grow up". Just means they want a moment away from the fucked up reality of Earth.

"The hunger games" was quoted in this thread. That ain't exactly "War and Peace".

You think "The hunger games" is akin to "War and peace"? Fair enough. In that case "Twilight" is just "Wuthering heights" with vampires.

    lol. Been a true pleasure.

Does that count as a sports movie?

Most definitely. People watch. They applaud. Bets are made. Gladiator battles were also a sport--a dystopian sport.

Well Ms Gloria Trubbshore didn't last long. I was enjoying the dubious and cryptic interjections.

Mods: If its not on to talk about banned members then I stand ready to be corrected, sorry.

    Perish the thought.
