Had my book self published last year. Also available on kindle. Can I get my book on kindle unlimited or is that not possible now?

Yes it and it is free, if you published through KDP. You need to do Kindle Select, and be exclusively KDP for at least 90 days. Your book will then appear as unlimited. KDP compensates differently for KU vs. regular Kindle. On your sales dash board, KU purchases show up as pages read, and you are paid about .4 cents per Kindle page, depending on the Kindle Fund financing this. As my book is 240K words and 1100 Kindle pages, that works out to $4/book, actually better than my regular Kindle royalty of about $2.80.
