    Descriptions for everyday objects.

Discussion in 'Research' started by Crystal, Dec 14, 2012.

Hey, I'm wondering if anyone knows a book that has descriptions of things. For example the mahogany table, the marbled stoned house, etc etc. I would just love if there was a book or something that had that sort of thing to it, but obviously about alot of other things like walls, beds, shoes etc. Thanks.

I usually go to the used clothing store and stock up on books about furniture, old decor books,
antique manuals that sort of thing. Same with fashion.
Social customs books are also good especially if you want to do a book
    set in a different era.
Then I take a notebook and jot down all phrases and words I like. It really helps.
For more recent stuff - I head to the library and raid their free magazine exchange rack.
