Print I think I missed something

Discussion in 'Self-Publishing' started by SapereAude, Apr 30, 2021.

In the course of reading and responding to comments in multiple threads started by member 345897 regarding publishing through multiple P-O-D services, I went back and looked at what I have done for the two books I came out with this year, and I think I have overlooked something. I did both books in both print-on-demand and Kindle e-book through Amazon KDP. I wanted to cover the Nook platform, so I then issued .EPUB versions of each book through Barnes & Noble Press.

And then I read a post by big soft moose that mentioned Direct2Digital, so I signed up with D2D and put e-book versions of both books on there.

What I have just realized is that I have NOT put a print edition anywhere other than Amazon. I used my own ISBN for each book, so there appears to be no reason why I can't go back now and upload it to Barnes & Noble Press, or to IngramSpark.

Right? Is there any reason why I can't or shouldn't do that?

no problem with launching print later ... note that page thickness differs between KDP and IS so you will need a new cover file to take into account the variation in spine thickness

I also found that Barnes & Noble Press defaults to putting their barcode on the back cover, so an existing cover that includes the bar code has to be edited to remove it.
