My thing is I had good experiences in creative writing classes back in college, but then life happened and I've struggled to stay in the habit ever since. I think what was missing was that sense of community. Now years later I'm longing to recover that creative part of myself. It's probably just a midlife crisis. Anyway, not looking for a career in writing, but simply to be among writers and their practice, give & receive feedback, and generally leech off the energy here. It's not that I'm against getting published someday - that would be fun - but it's more about writing toward a better quality of life. You know? Interested in all fiction, from literary to genre and all the blurry lines in between. I love sci-fi and fantasy. I'm a huge nerd. So yeah. Hi!
